I'd like to thank Laura for being my model, and being
brave posing with a herd of "wild" Miniature Donkeys.
I'd also like to thank my friend and neighbor, Terry,
for letting me invade her farm to take these photos. Click here to visit

Nordic Sweetheart Hat |
|
My
Nordic Sweetheart Hat is based on a traditional double layered hat -- here
it is pictured stretched out in all it's glory! It gets folded on a
purl row between the two main large heart patterns. Then it makes a
long toque!
If you fold up the main pattern -- it gives you 4 layers over
your ears -- and you are toasty warm!
The pattern is available on the
"Free Stuff" page.
If you'd like to knit this hat in Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift like I did,
you'll need 3 skeins of the background shade, and two skeins of the pattern
shade. |
 Here's
what it looks like when you've finished knitting it up -- pretty strange --
right?
|
 So you fold
it up into itself -- one repeat of the main pattern is now on the inside --
and you have a toque! Pretty funky huh! |

For the more conservative of us -- fold up the main pattern -- now you
have 4 layers over your ears for a toasty warm hat! |
|
FAIR ISLE WRIST WARMERS |
|
These wrist warmers take one ball of
the main colour, and one ball of the contrasting pattern colour. The
pattern is very basic -- you can adjust to your own sizing and is available
on the "Free Stuff" page..
If you'd like to order yarn for this design, these wrist warmers use just
two balls of Shetland Spindrift!
