YARN PACK PRICING -- due to the change from 143 yard skeins to 115 yard balls, the yarn requirements for the Jamieson's designs may have to be adjusted.  The Jamieson's books use skeins and the Simply Shetland books use the new ball format. 

Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift - available in 161 shades, allows unlimited potential when creating your own distinctive Fair Isle sweaters.

This yarn is an ideal substitute for the discontinued Scottish Campion yarn -- in fact, it is available in many of the same colours.  I have historical knowledge of the old/new shades -- so if you're wanting to knit up one of the designs that calls for Scottish Campion -- I can provide a yarn  pack translated to Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift. 

Note:  When providing "yarn packs" for old designs, I will advise how accurate it is -- ie, all 10 shades are exactly as used in the original; or, of the 10 shades used in this design, 9 are exact shades converted to the Jamieson's shade name/no., while one is a substitute, etc.  I prefer to provide complete yarn packs in this case, to preserve the integrity of the design.

This yarn would be great for many lace projects, and would make beautiful light-weight sweaters. 

Shetland Spindrift yarn can be used for any of the beautiful fair isle sweater designs in any of the books on Fair Isle knitting that you may already have (Anne Feitelson's "The Art of Fair Isle Knitting" book; John Allen's "Fabulous Fair Isle" book; or "The Celtic Collection", "In The Hebrides", "Pacific Coast Highway", "Alice Starmore's Book of Fair Isle Knitting", "Tudor Roses", "A Scottish Garland" and "American Portraits" all by Alice Starmore).  Shetland Spindrift can be used for the designs in the new Schoolhouse Press book, "Sweaters from Camp". I can provide a "translated to Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift" yarn pack for any of these designs.
